Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Ministry Secretary Apurva Chandra on Thursday inspected the construction site of the Ram temple in Uttar Pradesh's Ayodhya city and spoke to engineers about the entire project.
Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, who was accompanied by General Secretary Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Champat Rai during his visit, said construction work on the temple is in full swing.
The secretary said that the construction work on the first floor of the temple (Garbh Grah of Ramlala) will be completed by December 2023. “The temple is becoming a center of faith for all religions across India. Devotees will come to visit here not only from India but also from abroad,” he added.
Chandra further said that “earlier, no one was sure where the Ram temple would be built”. “The police used to stand here, but today a temple is being built here. Everyone is waiting for this temple,” he told.
Meanwhile, General Secretary Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Champat Rai said that “devotees can start visiting from January 2024”. “The Ram temple will have three floors. The ground floor is to be completed by December 2023. The rest of the floors are to be completed by the end of 2024. The work is on schedule,” said Rai. “Whoever comes to Ram Janmabhoomi to pray, after darshan there is the greatest spiritual change as people take with them the qualities of Ram,” he added.
The technicians and workers at Ram Janmabhoomi expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to contribute to the construction of the temple and expressed confidence that their names will be remembered while working on the construction of the Ram Mandir.
